School board budget off by $3 million
Three million dollars is the amount of money Steven Dozier, Webster Parish School Superintendent, says is needed to balance the 2011-2012 budget.
“We have that in reserve,” Dozier said. “But, you do not really want to depend on or use that money.”
The approved budget assumes a total operating cost of $68,397,780 and requires nearly $1 million dollars to be taken from the fund balance, or savings, to keep the system operational.
