Former beau ends up in jail

Frank_Dick_Jr._6-16-74An unwanted visitor at his ex-girlfriend's house is spending time at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.

Frank Richard Dick, Jr., 38, of the 100 block of Beech Springs Road, was arrested by Minden Police and charged with unauthorized entry, simple theft and simple battery.

Police chief Steve Cropper said Dick used his key to enter his former girlfriend's residence on Bymo Drive.

"They got into an argument and he began shoving and pushing her," Cropper said. "He reportedly knocked her to the ground a couple of times poured a (soft drink) on top of her, took her cell phone and left."

Cropper said the victim called officers, but Dick had left the premises by the time they arrived. The victim gave officers a description of his vehicle, and approximately 30 minutes later, officers reportedly stopped Dick, who still had his girlfriend's cell phone on the front seat.

"They had broken up quite a while ago, and she had a new boyfriend," Cropper said. "I guess he wasn't quite over her."

Dick was booked and transferred to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
