The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

River City Repertory, the area's only professional theatre company, takes its audience to a "site specific" location for the Tony Award winning musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Recall those days spent in school auditoriums when you enter the Margaret Shaffer Dickson Theater at Southfield School for an evening of musical fun.

Hear the clap of erasers and the slam of locker doors echo in your ears as we go back to that time when school elections and academic competitions meant the world to us.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious musical about six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's award winning creative team has structured the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of characters for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

Directed by Patric McWilliams.
