God’s Self Description

The Holy Bible is an amazing disclosure of who God is, what He's like, and how He wants to relate to us. Myriad are His attributes and great the number of books that have been written in an attempt to describe God.

Moses, the meekest man "upon the face of the earth" Numbers 12:3, had an intimate relationship with God. "And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend" Exodus 33:11. This apparently meant He spoke directly to him from close proximity, not that Moses saw God's face. Moses wanted to know God even better. Listen to his bold request of almighty God. "I beseech thee, show me thy glory" verse 18. Not only did God not rebuke him for such a request, He seemed pleased to make the necessary arrangements.
