Webster Parish Tourism Report

The Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Commission hosted a special press conference on Thursday, March 28th at 1:30 to observe the installation of the last wood duck box- mile markers at the boat launch and park in Dixie Inn.

James Gibson, CEO of Carter Federal Credit Union was the Master of Ceremonies. There were commendations, presentations and recognition given to people who played major roles in the project, specifically Harvey Kennedy and Dick Maxwell with the Bayou Chapter of the Ozark Society, who personally installed 55 boxes by anchoring a john boat to a cypress tree and climbing a 14 foot extension ladder!
