Grillin’ for a Good Cause

Grillin’ for a Good Cause

Tim Smith (left) cleans his grill after Saturday's Concert, Best Burger Cook-Off and Silent Auction held at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Standing behind Smith is the cook-off king Mike Hawkins (center) and fellow cook James Lambert. Hawkins took home $150 for his awarding-winning burger. The event was held to benefit the Northwest Louisiana Pregnancy Care Center of Minden and reportedly brought in approximately $2,000, mostly from the silent auction.
