LDWF talks Salvinia with task force

Although Giant Salvinia continues to cover Bistineau, the local lake is at pool stage and there are no plans for a drawdown at this time.

"There is an estimated five hundred to seven hundred acres of Salvinia coverage on the lake," Evan Thames with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries told members of the Bistineau Task Force. "Lake Bistineau is ranked as the eighth body of water on the LDWF priority list for Salvinia."
