Glynn E. Miller, 76, of Minden passed away Tuesday June 12, 2012 in Shreveport after a lengthy battle with diabetes. He was born June 9, 1936 in Shreveport to Benjamin F. Miller and Neva Lewis Miller.
Glynn became a Christian at an early age and was a member of Church of Christ. After graduating from Haynesville High School and Spencer Business College, he worked at Baird Industries, also as a truck dispatcher. He spent six years in the U.S. Navy. He then came to Shreveport Beauty College and opened "Glynn's Creswell House of Beauty" in the 60's. After 40 years in the beauty business, he became disabled and retired. He then moved back to his homeplace in the Evergreen Community north of Minden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Miller Volentine.
Survivors include a sister, Brenda Reeves; a special niece and caregiver, Pam Windham; a special aunt, Evelyn Miller; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
