Chamber implements membership program

The Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new fundraising initiative the Total Resource Campaign.

Between April 16 and May 23, volunteers will be competitively seeking chamber sponsorships and new memberships.

"This is a very unique opportunity to support our chamber of commerce in a manner never done before," said George E French III, campaign chair. "Chamber leaders for years to come will remember and benefit from the initiatives we are implementing this year to solidify and strengthen our infrastructure."

The TRC aims to bring awareness of the chamber's activities and purpose to the community.

"One of the directives I received at the chamber board retreat in January was that the Chamber needs to be more engaged with our membership," Jerri Ray de Pingre', President/CEO of Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce.

"We are excited about the Total Resource Campaign (TRC) which is new to chambers in our area."
Volunteers on TRC teams will be soliciting sponsorships for the chamber during the campaign.

"We hope to establish a stronger relationship with members particularly those who haven't been able to be as active in the past," de Pingre' said. "When a team member contacts you please take a few minutes to hear about all of our events for the next 12 months. Please don't assume it has to be a $1000 sponsorship."

TRC has attempted to make opportunities to support the chamber and its many events available at every budget level.
"Chamber members increase their business and community awareness by marketing through chamber programs and products," de Pingre' said. "The entire community benefits by accelerated growth created by successful well-funded programs – which are a result of a strong chamber."

The campaign is organized with Campaign Chair George E French III, Minden Medical Center and Team Captains – Bennie Lewis, B & G Courier Service; Jeri Bloxom, Minden Press-Herald; Mahala Hutto, Unimin; Jim Williams, Minden Medical Center; Terry Gardner, TG Companies; and Kristi McClain, Gibsland Bank and Trust.

Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer on this campaign, may contact the chamber staff at 377-4240 by April 4.
