The Doyline Lady Panthers recently won their fourth district track championship in a row, and now will head to the Regional meet at Quitman High School.
"It was our fourth championship in a row," Doyline track coach Michael Normand said. "We have a few new girls, but it's basically the same bunch. And we really don't have any seniors, so we're looking for even bigger things next year."
Some of the top performers for the Lady Panthers.
Shanelle Allen: first place in the 100m (12.7), 100 hurdles (17.5) and 300 hurdles (49.2) and second in the 200 hurdles.
Shelby Warren finished first in the shot put (36'6"0 and the discus. Bessie Waller won the triple jump (33' 1/2") and was second in the high jump (4'10"). Jasmine Waller won the 400m (1:05) and Shantrell Johnson won the 800m (2:42). The 4X400 team also took first place.
For the Panthers, Deotis Germany won the shot put (41' 2 1/2") and Brandon Hampton won the 200m (23.5).
