The Mt. Lebanon Historical Society is getting geared up for the Chili Cook-Off & Sweet Potato Contest that will happen on Saturday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Stagecoach Trail Museum.
The Country Bazaar will have homemade items such as breads, jams, jellies, candies, and canned veggies as well as some out of the freezer. The Country Store will open at 11 a.m. with the gourmet Hot Dogs, all the trimmings included, for a good lunch. Carry-outs will be available.
Karaoke Red will lead entertainment. Cake Walks will occur at intervals during the afternoon.
Later in the afternoon the judges will be figuring out the best chili cooks and pie makers with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
Be sure to bring your lawn chair. The museum is located at the intersection of Hwy. 154 and Hwy. 517 in downtown Mt. Lebanon. Exit #61 off Interstate 20, then south to Gibsland, and continue south 4 miles.
