Historical association appealing MPC’s ruling

An appeal of the Minden Planning Commission's decision to grant a zoning variance for property located at 1114 Broadway for a bed and breakfast/entertainment venue, has been signed, sealed and delivered to Minden City Hall.

The final fate of local businessman Jimmy Hall's prospective business will be determined at the September 2 meeting of the Minden City Council. Eleven persons in Minden's Historic District signed a petition appealing MPC's decision. All signatures, which, with the exception of one, belong to couples living on Broadway, have been certified by the Webster Parish Registrar of Voters.
