Two nabbed in separate drug cases

TEVIN_L_TURNERA Minden man found in a Cotton Valley apartment has been arrested by CAD deputies on drug charges.

Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton said his Community Action Directed Patrol team (CAD) executed a search warrant at the apartment and found 19-year-old Tevin Lovar Turner inside.

"Turner admitted to having marijuana," Sexton said. "And he handed the deputies eight baggies of a green leafy substance."

Deputies Bobby Igo, III, Joel Thomas, Don Willis and Capt. Robert Hayden searched the residence and discovered another baggie similar to the first, along with rolling papers above the stove.

"Turner stated all the narcotics belonged to him," Sexton said. "He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) Sch. I (marijuana) with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

In an unrelated case, CAD deputies served warrants on 30-year-old Brandi O'Neal Saffel in the 1200 block of East Todd in Minden.

Igo and Thomas reportedly placed her in custody at her residence and charged her with two counts of Distribution of CDS Sch. II.
