The Minden American Legion baseball team fell to Bossier Parish, 12-2, Wednesday night at Griffith Stadium.
"It really wasn't as bad as it sounds," Minden coach Kirby Moore said. "We gave up six unearned runs and that hurt. Bossier had two big innings against us, with six runs in the second and four in the fifth."
Reco Mitchell homered for Minden, and Bo Parker had a double and a single. Tony Sepulvado added a single."
"We only had four hits, but we did hit the ball," Moore said. "We just didn't hit anything hard. Bossier's pitcher did a real good job."
JaVonte' Thomas started and took the loss for Minden, with Sepulvado coming on in relief.
"I thought Tony pitched well," Moore said. "He came in and did a good job."
The Minden Team will be back in action on Friday, ass they host Oachita Christian in a seven-inning game. First pitch is at 6 p.m.at Griffith Stadium.
