Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies have handled two more cases of domestic abuse over the past week.
Brian S. Hilton, 29, of the 100 block of Brian Lane in Minden was arrested for domestic abuse battery and Steven Dale Wheeler, 43, of the 100 block of Yates Lane in Doyline was arrested for domestic abuse battery with an extra charge of possession of CDS Sch. II (methamphetamine).
Sheriff Gary Sexton said Dep. Don Box and Sgt. Don Willis were dispatched to Hilton's residence where they learned from the suspect that he had gotten into an argument with his father.
"Hilton said he hit his father about the face and arms," Sexton said. "The deputies made contact with the victim and he found he had lacerations about the face and arm and said his son had attacked him from behind."
The sheriff said when the victim picked up a bat to defend himself, he allegedly knocked out the back window of his private vehicle.
"No charges were filed against the victim," Sexton said.
In a separate incidence, Sgt. Willis was also dispatched to Wheeler's Doyline residence where he talked to a female victim.
"She said Wheeler hit her left and right eyes and on the right cheek," Sexton said. "The victim had bruises backing up her claim but said she did not want to file charges."
Wheeler reportedly was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested on that charge as well as domestic abuse.
