Springhill saddles up for rodeo

Springhill is getting ready to kick off a full roster of of events as they prepare for the opening of the annual rodeo.

There will be three big nights of The Springhill Championship Rodeo, June 9 through 11 which will be held at 7 p.m. nightly with the rodeo beginning at 8 p.m.

Kicking off the festivities will be the Springhill Rodeo Parade on June 9 at 5 p.m. The parade will roll down Main Street

On June 11, the Annual Piggly Wiggly Steak Cook-off will offer a day filled with fun, food and entertainment for the entire family. Vendors are welcome to set up.

The South Main Mall will have a display of "Braided Friendships," The Piney Needles Quilt Guild of Springhill Quilt Show on June 11 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free and there will be door prizes and vendors.

Tickets are available for a donation quilt for $1 each or six tickets for $5.
