The Glenbrook Apaches improved to 4-0 on the year with a pair of wins this week.
The Apaches beat La. School of Math & Science last night in Natchitoches, 57-28 and on Monday they took out Prairie View Academy, 62-54.
"We started off slow against PVA," Glenbrook coach Todd Spurlock said. "We wanted to pick up on the pace defensively, and we did that. But it was a tightly called game, and we had some kids get into foul trouble early."
The Apaches only led 17-16 at the half, but used an offensive surge in the second half to put the game away.
"We had to wait until the second half before we could bust out any kind of margin on them," Spurlock said. "And we ended up with an eight-point victory. I really liked the way the kids came back from some adversity."
Maurice Moore led the Apaches with 19 points and 20 rebounds. Cade Spurlock added 17 points and six assists and Jalen Patterson dropped in 14 points.
Last night in Natchitoches, the Apaches jumped out to a 21-4 first quarter lead and went on to an easy 57-28 win.
Patterson led the team with 21 points and three steals and Moore added four points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Cade Spurlock added 11 points and three assists and Regan Edwards had seven rebounds and five points.
