Another year of incredible competitiveness in Louisiana high school athletics has concluded with the crowning of the 2011 LHSAA spring sports state champions.
In baseball, Jesuit defeated last year's champion, Catholic High (Baton Rouge), en route to the Class 5A championship. St. Louis Catholic and Livonia took the Class 4A and Class 3A titles, respectively, and Evangel won the Class 2A crown. St. Mary's—2010's Class 1A runner-up—redeemed itself with the 2011 title, and Forest defeated Choudrant for the second consecutive year to win the Class B championship.
