Jeanette (Jan) Headstream Hoke

Jeanette (Jan) Headstream Hoke, 63, of Asheville, N.C., passed away on June 18, 2014, after fighting a long battle with a rare neurodegenerative brain disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She passed away peacefully at her home under the care of her husband who has been her sole caregiver for six years.

Jan was born Oct. 31, 1950, in Batesville, Ark. She lived in Minden from 1964 until 1970. She graduated from Minden High School in 1968. She moved to Baton Rouge in 1970. In 1989, she moved to Asheville, N.C. where she and her husband, Forney Moore Hoke III, resided for more than 20 years.
