Warriors rout Pelicans

HOMER  — The Lakeside Warriors traveled to Homer on Tuesday and came home with their first district win of the year – a 20-0 shut-out over the Pelicans.
The Warriors scored 10 runs in the top of the first, seven in the second and three more in the third to close it out.

Lakeside starting pitcher Jake Gray turned in a dominate performance. He went all three innings, allowing one hit, no runs, no walks and struck out seven batters.
The Warriors' bats pounded out 16 hits in the win.

Chase Woodall led Lakeside with three doubles and three RBIs. Thomas Lambert had two doubles and drove in two runs, and Cameron Corely had a pair of hits and four RBIs. Luke Griffith added two hits and three RBIs, Coulson White two hits and two RBIs and Jake Gray had a pair of hits and an a RBI. Cameron Gray singled and drove in two runs and Chris Brantley had a RBI-single.

The Warriors will play at Lakeview on Thursday.
