Bro. Christopher Todd Chambers was born March 5, 1969 in Shreveport to Ella Mae Chambers and the late Riley Chambers.
He united with St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age and later united with "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" and was ordained to the office of Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood.
The Lord sent an angel to bring him home on Feb. 17, 2013.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother, Ella Chambers of Princeton; two daughters, Raisa and Crystal Hood of Bossier City; two stepdaughters, Clarissa Hood of Bossier City and Juanda Hood of Sibley; brother Greg (Terri) Chambers of Minden; sister, Debra (Willie) Sheppard of Shreveport; uncle, Otis (Bertha) Smith of Doyline; three aunts, Rosie Wheeler of Doyline, Betty Feaster of Bossier City and Mertis Darby of Houston, Texas; great-aunt, Arlena Brown of Doyline; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church in Doyline, Melvin Smith, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery, Doyline under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Feaster, Billy Hampton, Bobby Smith, Bobby Feaster, Calvin Feaster and Lee Ware.
Honorary pallbearers are Anderson Baker, Greg Chambers, Anthony Smith, Willie Sheppard, Drew Duncan and Otis Smith.
