Heflin weightlifter earns Silver

HOUSTON —Jay Alinn Sanders, the 15-year old son of Fred (Jay) and Monica Sanders of Heflin competed in the AAU Jr. Olympics in Houston, Texas on July 29, 2012

Sanders won the Silver Medal for his weight class of 94 kg+.

Sanders lifted 52 kg (114.4 lbs) on the snatch and 80 kg (176 lbs) on the clean and jerk for a total of 132 kg (290.4 lbs).
