Judge annuls recall papers

Heflin Mayor Judy Tillman had her day in court and can now rest easy that her term will not end in recall on December 8.

26th Judicial District Court Judge John Robinson ordered six names stricken from the petition to recall Tillman, ending the current attempt for her removal.

"Of course, we are pleased with the outcome," Tillman's attorney Pamela Breedlove of Bossier said. "The judge made the right decision.
