Funeral services for Bonita R. Louis (Honey-Honey) will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the 14th District Building.
Honey-Honey was born Dec. 18, 1966 in Shreveport. She took her place with Christ Jan. 23, 2012 at Minden Medical Center, Minden.
Visitation rights will be held at Benevolent Funeral Home on East Union in Minden from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 27, 2012).
Bonita graduated from Minden High School. She was employed at Country Road Resources, Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, Minden as a care giver.
Bonita was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Ray Louis, Sr. of Minden; and one sister, Nita Balkman; and grandparents.
She is survived by her mother, Earnestine Louis of Minden; one sister, Deborah (Lenard); one brother, Bobby Ray Louis, Jr., both of Minden; two nieces, Leneisha Banks and Shakera Banks (Kelvin), both of Minden.
She also had three sisters in Christ, Lakaishia Lewis (Tyrone), Geisha Wallace and Tammy Dill.
She has four god children in Christ, A'Mircale Wesley, Kaerington Wilson, Excellence Wallace and T.J. Grider.
She has a god sister, Carrie Carr; god brother, Derrick Carr; one special uncle, Fred Okray; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of her doctors and nurses that cared for her during her illness.
We would also like to thank all of her friends and church family that prayed for her during her final days.
