Monroe Willis, Sr. was born Dec. 6, 1941 in Shreveport to the late John Henry Willis, Sr. and the late Gertrude Berry Willis.
Monroe accepted Christ at an early age and united with the King Solomon Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for more than 40 years.
