Lee Vell Fobbs

Lee_FobbsFuneral Services for Mr. Lee Vell Fobbs will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel Orange, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery.

Lee Fobbs was born June 28, 1927 to the late Wiley and Lucille London Fobbs in Winn Parish,

Lee Fobbs confessed Christ at an early age. He was a dedicated member and usher of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

He was employed by LAAP and Mt. Calm Hamlet. Mr. Fobbs was a member of the Order of Masons.

Lee Vell Fobbs departed this earthly life on May 17, 2011 at his residence. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his special caregivers, Janette Walker, Brenda McCarter, Byron Gully, and the Odyssey Hospice staff.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lynnie Fobbs of Minden; one son, Marvin Fobbs of Minden; three daughters, Janice Fobbs Walker, Linda Fobbs, both of Minden and Carmen Fobbs of Gulfport, Mississippi; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 20 in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Services are entrusted to Kennon's Mortuary. Email condolences may be sent to kennonsmortuary@suddenlink.net.
