Funeral services for Mrs. Kelsie Putman “Bootie” Jenkins, 60, were scheduled to be held Monday, Sept. 12, 20ll at 10 a.m. in Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Scotty Guillot officiating.  Interment followed in Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley.

Visitation was held Sunday  from 5 until 8 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church, Cotton Valley.

Mrs. Jenkins was born August 25, 1951 in Hope, Arkansas to Kelsie Lueneil and Lousie Huckabee Putman and passed away Friday, Sept. 9,  2011 in Minden.  She was a resident of Cotton Valley, a member of Unity Baptist Church and a retired hairdresser.
Mrs. Jenkins loved to play Kismit with Judy Maxwell every Saturday and “cattin” around with Kristy Jackson. She will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnny Ray Jenkins of Cotton Valley; daughter, Jodi Shaw and husband, Eddie of Dubberly; son, Johnny Reed Jenkins and wife, Dina of Cotton Valley; mother, Louise Huckabee Putman of Springhill; grandchildren, Hayden Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, Addisyn Jenkins and Zac Shaw; brother, Mike Putman and wife, Dianne of Springhill; sister, Mina Cannon and husband, Tim of Springhill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Tony Putman Reeves; and nephew, Chance Cannon.

Pallbearers were Raymond Robertson, Ronnie Hennigan, Trey Maxwell, Trent Maxwell, Donald Beck and Putt Putman.
