Chiefs fighting charges

Marty Stroud, defense attorney for former Cotton Valley/Fire Protection District 8 (FPD8) fire chief James Dennis Meshell and assistant fire chief Adam Hurley, has struck back at the prosecution's case.

Stroud has filed three motions designed to suppress two Webster Parish Sheriff's Office search warrants, undermine probable cause for the warrant's issuance and quash two of three charges made against the pair in a Bill of Information filed by Webster Parish District Attorney's Office.
