Judge sentences rapist to hard labor
Judge Mike Craig has sentenced a Springhill man to life in prison at hard labor for aggravated rape involving one juvenile, plus an additional 25 years at hard labor for indecent behavior with another child under the age of 13.
Donny Carper, 32, was convicted twice on the same charge – first on May 6, 2009 and then on August 19 of this year.
“The Second Circuit Court of Appeal remanded this case after Carper was previously convicted,” said Bossier-Webster District Attorney Schuyler Marvin.
