Blaise Julian Winn Jr.

Blaise_Winn_JrMemorial graveside services for Mr. Blaise Julian Winn Jr., 42, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Minden, with Dr. Carlos Irizarry officiating.

Mr. Winn was born April 30, 1970 to Blaise and Gail Thompson Winn in Shreveport, and passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at his home in Sarepta. He loved collecting NASCAR stuff, working out, loved his job doing body work and playing his guitar. Blaise was employed by Springhill Motor Company and loved his family and friends.

Blaise is survived by mother, Gail Marie Winn of Mineola, Texas; daughter, Lisa Marie Hale of Minden; sister, Ladonni W. Tennison of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brother, Franklin Winderweedle of Blanchard; sister, Sondra Gail Speaks of Uma, Arizona; sister, Susan Winn of Jackson, Mississippi; and special friends, Bonnie Shilling, Emily Dickison, Daniel Watson, Eric Gullett, Jesse Braswell and Keith Shockley.

Mr. Winn was preceded in death by father, Blaise Julian Winn Sr..

Geraldine S. Wolfe

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine S. Wolfe, 88, were held today (Friday, Dec. 21, 2012) at 10 a.m. in Walnut Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Vanderburg officiating. Interment followed in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

Visitation was held Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wolfe was born Sept. 13, 1924 in Thornton, Arkansas to David Crockett and Ada Edna Underwood Sparks and passed away Dec. 18, 2012 in Sugarland, Texas. She had been a resident of Springhill for 65 years and had moved to Sugarland, Texas in November, 2012. Mrs. Wolfe was a member of Walnut Road Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by daughter, Cathleen W. Holland and husband. J.C. of Sugarland, Texas; sons, Gerry Wolfe and wife, Dixie of Austin, Texas and Arthur Wayne Wolfe and wife, Rodonna of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Wolfe, Donna Wolfe, Emily LaBree and husband, Kevin and Nathan Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Reggie; brother, Calvin Sparks of Sparksman, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, James A. "Bear" Wolfe; five brothers and two sisters.
