EPA denies Army’s appeal of ruling on Camp Minden clean up

WASHINGTON — Thursday was a banner day in making slow but sure progress in the quest to clean up millions of pounds of M6 propellant on the grounds at Camp Minden.

A staff member in U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu's office said Thursday afternoon that Landrieu had just received a copy of a letter from the Environmental Protection Agency denying appeal of the EPA's decision to lay clean-up responsibility on the U.S. Army's shoulders.
