The Lakeside Warriors and Minden Crimson Tide renewed their Webster Parish rivalry Monday night at the Minden High gym.
The game was back and forth most of the way, but in the end, the Warriors pulled out a 51-45 win.
“It was just another Lakeside, Minden battle,” Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said. “It wasn’t a pretty win for us, but it was a much needed one. It will help us with the power points and help us get to the playoffs.”
Minden head coach Alan Shaw thought his team played well in the first half but not the second.
“It was a tale of two halves,” he said. “In the first half we shot 50% from the field, only had four turnovers and played good defense. In the second half, we shot 20%, turned the ball over 12 times and that was the difference in the ball game.”
