Subscriber burns bill in MPH win

The month of August may have brought record high temperatures, but Minden Press-Herald reader and subscriber Marguerite Hayes Williams is not sweating her electric bill for the month.

Williams is the lucky subscriber whose name was drawn Friday, September 9 for the MPH "heat busters" circulation promotion.

Williams has been subscribing to the Press-Herald for more than 50 years, and her annual year-long renewal put her in the drawing for her electric bill to be paid for the month of August.
