City tax renewal renewed

Minden voters came through almost two to one in favor of a tax renewal benefiting the downtown district.

Unofficial results show 1,637 or 64.91 percent in favor of renewing the tax, while 885 or 35.09 percent said no.

Only 27 Minden precincts  were eligible to vote on the renewal.
