CAMPTI — The Lakeside Lady Warriors traveled to Campti on Monday to take on Lakeview High School, and came home with a 12-1 win over the Lady Gators.
The Lady Warriors led 2-1 when they erupted for six runs in the fifth inning to increase their lead to 8-1. They then scored two runs in each of the final two innings for the 12-1 final.
Madison Winkle led the way for Lakeside as she struck out 10 batters and allowed just four hits in improving her record to 4-7. She also went three-for-five with a triple at the plate.
Kim Coleman pounded out four hits in five trips to the plate, including a double and a home run.
Emily Robinson, Paige Osborn and Alexis Harvey also added base hits.
The Lady Warriors are now 4-8 on the season and will host the Jonesboro-Hodge Lady Tigers at 5 p.m.
Thursday, the Lady Warriors will travel to Homer for a 4 p.m. game.
