The Lakeside Warriors used a strong second half to outpace Ringgold Monday night in local high school basketball action.
Lakeside outscored Ringgold by 16 in the second half on their way to a 69-46 victory.
"We took control early," Lakeside coach Jason Gould said. "Had a double digit lead in the second quarter but we let them back in the game going into the half."
Gould said he nor the team were happy at the break, and he was pleased with the way the boys responded over the final two quarters.
"We had a much better tone in the second half," he said. "We decided to take it inside and got some good scoring from our forwards and off the post."
While Ringgold was quicker than Lakeside, Gould said his Warriors were bigger.
"We used that to our advantage," he said.
Four Lakeside players scored in double digits for the game.
T.J Carpenter had 20 points to lead the way. Rontrelle Kinsey and Taurus Erving each had 14 points, and Niles Moore added 11 points.
