Tony Kemp White, 64, entered peacefully into eternal rest on the evening of Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home in Minden.
Tony was born Jan. 12, 1949 in Winnfield, a son of the late William Franklin White and Ruby Brunson White.
He attended Winnfield High School and later enlisted in the Army where he served as a medic in the Vietnam War.
He was awarded several medals including a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and an Army Commendation Medal.
He worked at General Motors in Shreveport for 26 years until his retirement in 2009.
Tony is survived by daughter, Holli White Vining and husband, Tim; daughter, Brandi White; grandson, Austin Vining; special friend, Deborah Bell and a host of special nieces.
He was the youngest of his siblings and was predeceased by his sister, Charlene White Tullos and two half-sisters, Mary D. White Gauthier and Tivis Crawford Holland.
A memorial service was held for family and friends on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2 p.m.at Antioch Baptist Church.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jimmy Lynn, Mickey Holtzclaw and DJ Thomas.
