An Internet stalker is now offline, thanks to the efforts of Springhill Police.
Christopher Kelly Bell, 29, of Gilbert Street, Bossier City, was arrested Monday and charged with computer aided solicitation of a minor.
Springhill detectives Bryan Montgomery and Ronald Wedgeworth, along with Springhill Police Sgt. Tommy Edwards were involved in the arrest.
According to reports, one of the detectives posted an ad on an online site, to which he received "numerous replies" by email.
"All subjects that answered believed they were talking to a 14-year-old girl from Springhill," said Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd. "They were actually emailing detectives."
Bell reportedly arranged to travel to Springhill to meet with the "girl" to have sexual relations with "her" in his vehicle.
"Bell arranged to bring condoms and the detectives found two in his vehicle," Lynd said.
Bell was booked at the Springhill Police Department and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
Bond was set at $75,000. It was unknown at presstime if Bell had posted bond.
