Glenbrook Softball Gaining Experience

The Glenbrook Lady Apache softball team is roaring through summer competition in anticipation of the district race looming on the horizon.

The team played in the Riverfield Tournament over the weekend, winning a few and losing a few, but gaining something even more valuable than wins and losses at this point in the season – valuable experience.

"All three teams we played in the tournament were Double A teams," coach Jonathon Hardy said. "That will help us when we get into district against other Single A teams."

One of those Double A teams was Prarieview, a team that Hardy says will go very far in the playoffs.

The Apaches played PV Academy twice and fell both times.

"Prarieview is a very strong team," he said. "Look for them in the Double A playoffs. Going against them and doing well helped our girls get experience and gain confidence. That is going to help us down the road."
