‘Break the Chains’ program offered to youth and young adults

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Growing Valley Baptist Church have partnered to bring awareness to the rising rate of incarceration, how drug abuse contributes to it and the social/emotional impact on today's youth.

This program is dedicated to the "youth with incarcerated parents." Youth will participate in a "Youth Break the Chains Rumble Praise and Worship Party." Participants in this event are expected to leave with a feeling of hope and power to help overcome everyday barriers that are faced because of absent parents and other chains that have them tangled.
